Local Hospice Partners with Art Therapy Program

Reno, Nevada, July 14, 20XX

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with Art Therapy Inc., an organization dedicated to using art as therapeutic expression. This collaboration will offer our patients a new way to express themselves and find emotional comfort through art.

Mary S., our clinical director, shares, “Art therapy can be a valuable tool for those who find it hard to communicate verbally. It provides a safe space for emotional expression.”

Cleo M. from Art Therapy Inc. adds, “We’re thrilled to join forces with [Hospice Name]. Art has incredible healing power, and we look forward to making a positive impact on our patients’ lives.”

Meet Our New Team Member: Marie L.

We’re pleased to introduce Marie L., the newest addition to our hospice nursing team. Marie brings both extensive experience and a compassionate heart to our organization. Let’s get to know her better!

Q: Welcome, Marie! Can you share a bit about yourself?

A: “Thanks! I grew up on a farm in the Midwest, where I learned the value of community and helping others. This inspired me to pursue nursing. I studied to become an LPN and have since worked in various healthcare settings. I always seek to make a real difference.”

Q: What attracted you to hospice care?

A: “I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact end-of-life care has on patients and their families. Hospice allows me to provide holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, helping to ensure patients' final days are dignified and peaceful.”

Q: How are you finding your experience so far?

A: “It’s been enriching. Every patient and family has a unique story, and being part of such an intimate time is humbling. The strength and resilience I see are truly inspiring.”

Q: What challenges have you encountered?

A: “Dealing with loss can be tough, but we must focus on the positive aspects of our work. We provide comfort, manage pain, and support families through a difficult time.”

Q: How do you handle the emotional challenges?

A: “Self-care is crucial. I spend time in nature, talk to a therapist, and connect with loved ones. Our team also supports each other, debriefing after tough cases and celebrating our successes.”

Q: What are your goals in your new position?

A: “I aim to keep improving my skills in end-of-life care and provide the best support possible. My goal is to be a source of comfort and hope for our patients and their families.”

Welcome aboard, Marie! We’re thrilled to have you join our team!
